The Museum Giersch of the Goethe University sees itself as the “university window” to the city of Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region.
For many years the museum has been successfully researching and communicating regional art – a unique selling point in the context of Frankfurt’s rich museum landscape.
This profile should be retained and one facet should be given greater weight: the museum as the setting for exhibition projects in which significant aspects of the scientific and intellectual life of the Goethe University are exposed. The aim is to present original topics and exhibits from teaching and research that are suitable for exhibitions to a broad public.
